Depart from your school/church. Arrive in San Antonio about 12:00 Noon. Our first stop will be Mission San Jose, one of the five Spanish missions set along the San Antonio River between 1718 and 1731. We will have a picnic lunch (brought on your own) here and explore the mission. We’ll then journey to the most famous spot in Texas, The Alamo. Afterwards, we’ll see “Alamo-The Price of Freedom,” a 45-minute docudrama about the 13-day siege and fall of the Alamo. A tour of the River Walk (Paseo Del Rio) follows before having dinner at an authentic Mexican Restaurant

After a continental breakfast at our hotel, we pack our bags and head first to the Institute of Texan Cultures to trace the contributions of the varied cultural and ethnic groups that developed Texas. Our next stop will be your choice of Six Flags Fiesta Texas, a theme park that reflects the heritage and culture of San Antonio, or Sea World San Antonio, the world’s largest marine life adventure park. After a day of learning and fun, we head for home.
